Dining with kids can be a bit overwhelming, off putting and sometimes simply difficult - Especially for me, Winston is two and Evelyn is one, and they struggle with sitting still and all they want to do is run off. I have came up with four cafes on the Gold Coast that I think is great for kids and if your little one decide to go crazy, you receive no judgment from other people because most people who are dining there understand it also caters for kids.
1.
BSKT CAFE, LOCATED IN NOBBY'S BEACH
-
It is a two level cafe and has a play pen! Upstairs they do yoga classes, so that would be great for someone who is into yoga and downstairs is where the cafe is located. I honestly never knew seeing a play pen can give me so much hope and happiness. I am able to drink my coffee still hot, able to eat and not have to worry about my child running off and I am able to still keep my eyes on my kids - win win. You must try out their Super Berry Cacao Pancakes and Paleo Veganola, so yum!
2.
PARADOX, LOCATED IN SURFERS PARADISE
-
Some people are a bit hesitant on going into Surfers Paradise and automatically assume it is crazy, dirty and fill with party goers. I also thought that as well, until I lived there for two years and it is a great place - walking along the esplanade is amazing and you realise how much you take the beach for granted. I admit there isn't many cafes or restaurants that I found great for taking my kids, until one day Paradox came a long. There is a play pen located next to paradox, and your child is still in eye site view.
3.
SOCIETY OF FLORIDA, LOCATED IN BROADBEACH WATERS
-
I have heard of Society Of Florida on social media but I never knew where it was located, until my partner and I decided to go for a drive to look for somewhere new to get a coffee and we stumbled across Society Of Florida! It is such a beautiful cafe, with awesome vibes and what I found great about this cafe is that every Wednesday they do sing alongs for your little ones, and it is a great way for mum's to connect with other mum's.
4.
THE JOURNAL CAFE & PASTRY, LOCATED IN MERMAID WATERS
-
The Journal Cafe & Pastry is located in Mermaid Waters Shopping Village or also known as Yuen's (Asian groceries). We haven't been there for a while, until the other day we decided to go get a watermelon for Winston at the fruit and veg shop that was located in the shopping village, and we noticed there was someone singing live at the cafe and then I noticed a play pen next to The Journal Cafe - We decided to sit in and get the kids an Acai bowl. Awesome vibes, the kids loved it and we will 100% going back.
