Father's Day is creeping up on us mums and dads so quick some of us might not realised it is Father's Day next week. One of the things I learnt about men is that it is hard to buy them gifts.
"What do you want for Father's Day?" - "I don't know.."
"What do you want for your birthday?" - "I don't know.."
"What do you want for Christmas?" - "I don't know.."
Every year I struggle to buy my partner or my dad gifts. This year I have come up with so many gift ideas BUT I am struggling to pick which one. I have made this post to share some of my Father's Day gift ideas and hope to help out your dilemma.
GIFT BOX
Instead of purchasing a pre-packed gift box from the shopping centre, why not make one yourself? I am sure your kids would love to decorate and help pick out daddy's faves. You can purchase a nice looking box from your nearest cheap shop, and fill the box with his favourite candy, chocolate and nick nacks that you think he would love or need. What I like about making my own gift box is because it is fun for everyone and the kids would find it fun helping you pick out the gift, or coming up with ideas for their daddy's Father's Day gift.
Here are some examples that might help you out -
Bathroom essentials such as facial shaving kit, hair products and lotion that your dad or partner loves using part of their daily routine.
Sleep wear or comfort wear - Pair of socks, underwear and pyjamas and slippers.
If your partner or dad is more of an outdoor or handy-man type you can fill your gift box with his favourite hobby related items, BBQ items or tools.
Filling the box with his favourite snacks or sweets.
EATING OUT
Sunday's are always a great day to dine at a cafe for breakfast, brunch or for lunch. Spoil your dad by taking him to his favourite cafe or restaurant.
PYJAMAS
I feel like this is a common gift that most people get for their dads, but no one can never have too many pyjamas?
HOBBIES
All dads have hobbies, if not hobbies there's something they enjoy doing once in a while. You can get your dad/partner a gift card to a shop that sells his hobby equipment, or spend a day doing his hobby or buying him something that is related to his hobby.
COLOGNE
I think this one is more for me - haha. But hay, nothing is more sexier than a good smelling man.
COLLAGE
A nice collage of photo memories with the kids, your partner and yourself would be great. Your kids would have a blast making it.
ART
A simple homemade card, drawing or painting from your kids would make a great present for their daddy.
TICKETS / PASSES
Tickets or passes to his favourite sport, concert or theme park.
PERSONALISED
A personalised t-shirt, phone case or book would be an awesome gift for your partner or dad. Nowadays you can pretty much get anything personalised. It's fun for everyone, the kids would enjoy personalising their daddy's gift.
COOKING
Still unsure on the perfect gift to get your partner or father? Cooking his favourite breakfast, or lunch or dinner meal - and of course with a handwritten card from your kids to go with it.
