At the age of 12, I had my future all planned out. I thought by the age of 17, I would know what path I wanted to take. By the age of 18 I would have a full-time job. By the age of 20 I would pursue my dreams. By the age of 25 I would meet the love of my life. By the age of 30, we would get married. By the age of 35 we will have kids and live in a big house, and have a dog name Lucky.

As some of you may know sometimes life doesn't work out that way. Instead at the age of 17, I had no idea what I wanted to do (career wise). By the age of 18, I moved to a town called Gladstone with my partner and worked at a coffee shop for 6 months. By the age of 19, I was unmotivated and locked myself in the bedroom and I felt worthless. Later that year I fell pregnant and I gave birth to my son. Still to this day I get emotional thinking about when I first laid eyes on him. My whole life changed, for the better. My thoughts on life changed. It gave me a better understanding of motherhood, it made me appreciate the little things.

Since being a mother I am now motivated, happy and extremely thankful. I love being a mother. It is honestly the best and most rewarding thing that has ever happened to me, even in the toughest of times.
